Who We Are
We are Lee and Tom, a father and son team based in East Yorkshire who love building things. We always used to treat ourselves to a Lego Techinc kit every birthday and Christmas and have built up quite a collection over the years.
As most of you will be aware, the bigger and more technical the kit, the greater the price and we began to struggle to justify the expense, so during the Covid lockdown in early 2020, we took a punt on a Chinese alternative building kit expecting it to be of poor quality and umpteen missing parts.
How wrong we were!
We then bought a couple more trying to find fault, but every kit we got was, in our opinion, equally as good as the market leader. This is when we thought that there could be a little business opportunity here. We contacted the manufacturer (Mould King) direct to see if they would supply us but we wanted to have the original packaging as the kits we had previously bought were re-packaged into brown cardboard boxes or stuffed into big padded envelopes. They agreed, and we placed our first order which was a mixture of kits for us to build and a few to trial on eBay. The kits we advertised on eBay went relatively quickly and we decided to advertise the ones we got for ourselves.
Seeing the potential in this little venture, we started this shop and over the months we realised that there is a small but quite loyal following to these alternative Building Brick models.
We then found an agent in China who could source other brands, such as CaDa, Happy Build, TGL etc and now stock a wide variety of different models to cater for most ages and budgets.
YES, we are probably more expensive than other websites selling these models, but we only ship in original packaging, not plain brown boxes. We are UK based and ship within the UK only.
But please remember, ‘a sale is a sale’ and we are more than happy to strike a deal. We would rather ‘make something’ than have money tied up in stock.
So, give us a go and see what we have to offer.
Thank you to our customers past, present and future.
Kindest Regards,
Lee & Tom.
